NH Knights Hockey Names Meghan Toomey as Girls Director
Nashua, N.H. — July 14, 2026 — NH Knights Hockey, a program of CK Hockey LLC, today announced the hiring of Meghan Toomey as the organization's new Girls Director. In this newly created role, Toomey will lead the strategic direction, coaching development and player pathway for the Knights' girls programs, serving spring and summer skaters ages 6-20.
Toomey joins the Knights while continuing to serve as head coach of Salve Regina University's NCAA Division III women's ice hockey program, a role she began in October 2025. She brings more than 20 years of coaching and hockey administration experience across the collegiate, prep school and club levels.
Playing Background
A native of Amherst, N.H., Toomey (born Meghan Maguire) starred at St. Lawrence University, where she is a member of the athletics Hall of Fame. She went on to play professionally for the Montreal Axion, helping the club reach the National Women's Hockey League finals, and for HC Lugano in Switzerland, where she won a national championship.
Coaching & Administrative Career
Toomey's coaching resume includes stops at three premier eastern prep schools and the Division I collegiate ranks. She served as assistant hockey coach at Colgate University in the ECAC; head girls' hockey coach and assistant dean of students at Kimball Union Academy in Meriden, N.H.; head girls' hockey coach and associate director of admissions at Kents Hill School in Readfield, Maine; and assistant girls' hockey coach and associate director of college counseling at The Hill School in Pottstown, Pa., where she helped guide a squad to a 23-3-3 record and a top-five national prep school ranking. Most recently, she served as general manager and director of girls' hockey for Black Bear Sports Group's Princeton Tiger Lilies program in Princeton, N.J., overseeing all operations for the Tier I and Tier II girls' programs, after having built the organization's Royals Girls Hockey Program into a highly competitive Tier II program in the Atlantic District. In October 2025, she was named head coach of Salve Regina University's women's ice hockey program.
